Who is the Head Honker and why does this blog exist? My name is Jeff Gruben, and along with my Top Goose, Jenny, we started a home business in July 2022 that supplies salsas, jams, pickles, relishes, custom gift baskets, charcuterie boards, personal chef services, hand-made home décor and more to our growing customer base. We can be found on Etsy and at thesillygooselife.com.

I started this blog because I want to share my knowledge with the world, and that starts with you, the reader. My expertise is not limited to canning, cooking, or running an online business, so as this blog grows, you will see my insights into those things as well as electronics, computers, automotive, etc.

If I can provide honest product reviews, informative articles, and maybe even a little entertainment that makes just one person’s day better or helps them find that one product or service that fits their needs, I’ve accomplished my goal.
